Carmel Clay History Museum Time Capsule
Share
We’ve been dropping hints for weeks… and now we can finally spill the beans!
The incredible Carmel Clay History Museum selected Sunflower Woodworx to craft their official Tricentennial Time Capsule!
We’re beyond grateful and truly honored to partner with the museum on this once-in-a-lifetime project. Using beautiful Indiana hardwoods, we’re building a timeless piece that will preserve today’s stories for tomorrow’s generations.
Inside? In addition to other items, special letters from our community—engraved directly onto wood for that extra touch of warmth and permanence.
This capsule will be presented on July 4, 2026, and sealed until it’s dramatically opened on July 4, 2076 during America’s 300th birthday celebration! Talk about playing the long game!
It would be additionally cool if our founder and Mrs. Woodworx could be there for the opening (he’ll be 100 years old)! Until then, the time capsule will be on display at the museum.
We can’t wait to share more progress pics and details as we bring this vision to life. Follow our Facebook or Instagram accounts for the progress!
Thank you to the Carmel Clay History Museum for trusting us with such a meaningful piece of history. It is truly a privilege to work with such an amazing organization.
Here’s to capturing the present… and handing it forward with pride!
